Solid scholarship options for single dads, as well as dads and their partners.
Raising kids is no easy task, especially for single fathers. Single dads are often under-appreciated and overlooked in the sacrifices they make for their children.
In America, over 8 million men are single dads. Like single moms, single dads who seek to go to college will have more responsibilities than the average college student. Along with taking over all domestic responsibilities, single student-dads have to provide for their family while paying outrageous, growing tuition bills.
Having at least a bachelor’s degree can help dads move into financial freedom, and achieve a more comfortable living situation. For single dads, a degree means not only gaining a better financial situation for themselves, but creating a better future for their kids. This is why it’s so important for single parents to find money for college and get that degree.
There are scholarship options available to make your college dream a reality. There are also options here that are for your partner in the case that you may not be around. While this is not an all-encompassing list, you can potentially find other scholarships that are specific to the state in which you live. Also, visit our Resources page to prepare for your future educational endeavors with all kinds of tools and planners.
