Finance For Fathers is a personal finance site for fathers (new, old and upcoming) who seek to educate themselves and set their partners and kids on a course for financial success. We provide insights, recommendations, info, resources and opinions that may support any father on their journey. We know it’s not easy out there and learning about personal finance can be daunting when combined with all the other challenges of being a father. We seek to combine our shared intelligence with conversational posts that ease the stress and make personal finance an enjoyable experience.
So, why do Fathers even need their own personal finance site?
Fathers face unique personal finance challenges that can be addressed with education, support and instruments. We believe (1) financial knowledge for you, your partner, and your children is absolutely crucial; (2) access to education in this personal finance space is severely lacking; (3) fears around personal experience are daunting and abundant, and stem from a knowledge and interest gap. We seek to share knowledge, concepts and formulas, and look at the history of finance so we may better shape our future.
We’ve tailored this site for fathers in the United States. This applies to current, previous and future fathers; any age, all genders and all backgrounds. Being a father is not defined by any of these characteristics. If you identify as a father, this site is for you. Finance is not defined by just money, financial markets, entrepreneurship or government – though they are all intricately linked and tangled.
Finance For Fathers pertains to personal finance, not corporate, but the two share similar goals, challenges, histories, formulas and philosophies. This site does not post coupons or “easy” ways to save $100 per year. We’ve done the research and will share POVs and personal stories with data, industry articles and professional insights. Other finance sites tell their broad audiences about things to do. We may dabble in that, but these are mainly concentrated thoughts, fatherly-focused ideas, market hot takes, some history, some reviews and, of course, knowledgeable insights on fatherhood and finance.
Finance For Fathers started to educate others and share personal finance journeys. As fathers, we know our goals and mindsets changed when our wives gave birth to our children. To be honest, it felt like becoming a lion with little cubs. It was straight up animalistic. We surveyed the sierra and sought out prey. We had to make sure they would receive a good education, live in a safe community, and maybe visit Disney World once (that’s all we got in us). To do this, we needed to learn and put plans in action to build equity, increase earnings, and set a clear course for financial freedom. Thank you for joining us on this journey.
We’ll see you down the road…
